Indoor
Arena
Our 65m x 25m fully lit indoor arena features a world-class European fibre Ebb & Flow surface, suitable for both flatwork and jumping. This advanced system waters the surface from below, maintaining consistent moisture levels and minimising dust for optimal footing.
The only arena of its kind in New Zealand, it offers exceptional riding conditions year-round with spotlights outside for late evening rides. Dressage letters and mirrors are mounted on the wall, and a full showjumping course is typically set up and updated fortnightly.

Our current 75m x 45m sand arena is undergoing an exciting upgrade to a state-of-the-art European fibre Ebb & Flow surface, expanding to 82m x 52m. This advanced footing system ensures consistent moisture levels, reduced dust, and optimal performance for both jumping and dressage.
A full set of show jumps will be permanently set up, making it an ideal training space for riders of all levels. Additionally, the arena is designed to accommodate two full-size 60m x 20m dressage arenas, ensuring versatility for future competitions and events.
Cross
Country
Course
OEC features a beautifully manicured cross-country course set across rolling pastures, complete with a water jump.
Designed for riders of all levels, the course includes flagged fences with sand take-offs and landings for optimal footing and safety. Fence heights start at 40cm, progressing to more advanced levels, ensuring a challenging yet confidence-building experience for every horse and rider.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned competitor, the OEC cross-country course has something for everyone!
Yards, Stables & Paddocks
OEC offers a range of horse accommodation to suit different needs.

5-horse barn with a private tack room and wash bay – $30 per stable per night. The barn also includes five small paddocks for added turnout.

6 covered yards – $25 per night.

26 large, open yards – $20 per night, located within the spacious truck park.

Safe post-and-rail paddocks – $20 per night, available upon request.

Stallion barn – available occasionally on request.
Guest facilities
Guests visiting OEC can enjoy complimentary access to the well-equipped guest bathroom and kitchen, located within the luxury bunkhouse. The space includes a shower, a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and portable stovetop, and a dining table and couch, providing a comfortable area to relax and unwind.
Accommodation
OEC offers a range of accommodation options to suit every guest. A fully equipped apartment provides a comfortable retreat for two, while the bunk room off the kitchen sleeps four, featuring luxurious NZ-made king single bunks (great for both adults and children alike), Wallace Cotton linen, and Sheridan towels to enhance the OEC experience. For those seeking more space, the five-bedroom OEC Farmhouse offers modern, comfortable living with stunning views overlooking the property.
